Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can cancel a Buysiders Group subscription and when you may be eligible for a refund. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Payments for Buysiders subscriptions are processed by our payment provider and merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, whose own terms may also apply to your transaction.
§1What you are paying for
Buysiders sells digital subscriptions (for example the Analyst and Investor tiers) that provide immediate, ongoing access to editorial content, research, market intelligence, and, where included, the Buysiders Workspace. These are digital services delivered continuously over the subscription period, not one-off physical goods.
§2Billing and automatic renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at checkout) and renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. The price, billing interval, and any introductory or trial terms are shown at the point of purchase before you confirm.
§3Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time from your account settings, from the subscription-management link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt email, or by writing to support@buysidersgroup.com. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period and then does not renew. We do not charge a cancellation fee, and we do not prorate or refund the unused part of a period that has already been paid, except where stated below or required by law.
§4Refunds
Because subscriptions unlock digital content immediately, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun. We will, however, issue a refund in the following cases:
- Billing errors. If you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after a valid cancellation, we will refund the incorrect amount in full.
- Failure of service. If a paid feature is materially unavailable for a sustained period due to a fault on our side and we cannot resolve it, we may refund the affected period.
- Statutory rights. If you are a consumer and a mandatory law in your jurisdiction gives you a cancellation or refund right (for example a statutory cooling-off period), we honour that right to the extent it applies. Note that consumer cooling-off rights for digital content are often waived once you agree to immediate access at checkout.
- Discretionary goodwill. Outside the cases above, refunds are at our reasonable discretion. Requesting one does not guarantee it.
§5How to request a refund
Email support@buysidersgroup.com from the address on your account within thirty (30) days of the charge, and include the transaction or receipt reference from your Lemon Squeezy email. We aim to review requests within five (5) business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Lemon Squeezy; the time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
§6Free and trial access
Free-tier access and any free trial carry no charge and therefore no refund. If a trial converts to a paid plan, the first charge is governed by this policy from the date it is made.
§7Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first: we can usually resolve it faster than a card dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may lead to suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated.
§8Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date, and where appropriate we will notify you. Your continued use of a paid Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
