Abu Dhabi Investment Council has reportedly committed around $1 billion to Singapore-based hedge fund Dymon Asia Capital, with the capital expected to be deployed in tranches as the firm expands its strategies and global footprint.

Dymon Asia’s assets under management reached $9 billion as of July 31, well above an earlier projection of roughly $5 billion by year-end 2026. Its flagship Multi Strategy Investment Fund is up 7.5% year to date, despite a 6.5% decline in July amid a broader market selloff.

The hedge fund is also expanding its investment presence across South Korea, Hong Kong and India, while strengthening its commodities and macro trading capabilities.

The reported allocation adds to Abu Dhabi Investment Council’s growing hedge fund exposure, following investments in firms including ExodusPoint Capital Management and London-based Deem Global.
