Anthropic's Q2 2026 revenue exceeded $11.5 billion, according to documents viewed by Bloomberg News. That figure represents a more than 14-fold increase from $787 million in the same quarter last year, and more than double the $4.73 billion reported in Q1 2026. First-half 2026 revenue totaled approximately $16.2 billion. The company's annualized run-rate revenue, disclosed in May 2026, stood at $47 billion, up from $30 billion in April and $9 billion at the close of 2025.
Anthropic also reported positive adjusted operating income in Q2 2026, marking one of the first instances of quarterly profitability among frontier AI labs. The figures remain preliminary and could be revised.
Ahead of a potential IPO, Anthropic is preparing to tell investors that it sees a total addressable market (TAM) of more than $30 trillion, according to an August 25 Wall Street Journal report citing people familiar with the matter. TAM refers to the total annual revenue opportunity available if a company captured 100% of its addressable market, not a projection of actual revenue. The figure would exceed the $28.5 trillion TAM that SpaceX disclosed in its May 2026 IPO filing.
Separately, Reuters reported that Anthropic's actual 2028 revenue forecast is $190 billion to $200 billion, the number its IPO valuation is based on. Anthropic is reportedly targeting a valuation of about $2 trillion and could raise as much as $100 billion in its offering, both of which would exceed SpaceX's $86.5 billion raised at a $1.77 trillion valuation.
For comparison, the 191 tech companies in the S&P 1500 collectively generated $2.4 trillion in revenue last year, according to FactSet data cited by the Journal. NYU finance professor Aswath Damodaran said Anthropic's $30 trillion TAM figure is "reaching the end of what's plausible and pushing beyond."
Anthropic is expected to publish its IPO prospectus shortly, with a potential market debut as early as September or October 2026.
