Private equity returns are not filed anywhere structured. Net IRR lives in quarterly letters to limited partners, not in a public document, so no honest board can rank managers on it and this one does not try.
What is filed is the fund itself. This board sums the closed size of every private equity fund the register holds for a manager, counting only funds whose row carries a link to the filing the figure came from. Coverage is the registers we read: SEC Form ADV fund schedules, the MAS Singapore VCC register, the JIAA Japan register and public pension disclosures. A manager raising through vehicles outside them ranks low here, or does not appear at all. Rows are filers, so one firm that files through several entities can appear more than once.
